Transcript:
"Why we started k-ID? I have two girls. They're age 12 and ten. What I've seen is they're getting online much earlier in our generation. They're doing their homework on the laptops, on the iPads, having access to iPhones exposed to the underworld much earlier than our generation did. They play games, they watch short videos. They watch long videos. They are engaging, you know, social media on online. They exposed to all sorts of risks that they're not even aware of. They will come to parents and say "Hey, can I buy this? Can I chat with that person? Oh, this person is doing something with online."
How do I deal with it? And you look at all these issues that kids and teens are facing nowadays. Risks are everywhere to them. And so, you know, having my background in big tech companies, we have to deal with all these issues on a day to day basis. But there isno technology that could really meaningfully help kids and teens, help parents. helps publishers help regulators to deal with all these risks.
So despite that, we've seen a lot of regulations coming into play on a day to day basis on how to protect kids. How do publishers actually comply with these regulations, becomes a very daunting question. And that is why k-ID was founded. This is really to help all these publishers, kids and teens, parents, regulators to really have a meaningful way to deal with this issue. So that's why k-ID."
