k-Now

When we started k-ID the first thing we did was put down on (virtual) paper everything we knew.  From the age of digital consent to content moderation to enforcement, everything made it onto the page.

As we have grown though, I get asked more and more about something that we never thought to add to that list: the lessons learned when putting age appropriate design into practice.  The most common question today that I hear is what does it really mean to empower a youth community online.

We wanted to create a space to collect and document all of this experience.  Some of these stories are ours, some are from friends.  

This is a space that brings together what we know ... and sometimes, what we don’t.
