"I guess for any startup what you need are three things. You need the right moment. You need the right people, and you need the right product. Those are the usual combinations that you look for. I think in the case of k-ID, there's maybe a fourth factor, which is the most important of all. It's about the right mission.
What we have here is something that isn't just a business opportunity. It's a societal imperative. As technology becomes more complex and evolves ever more rapidly, the needs and the issues that the children, kids and teens face are ever greater. And what we see right now is a moment in time where one has to act.
And the team we've assembled is, you know, really, quite objectively, one of the most incredible teams. An incredible team of co-founders, but also the people that have joined us on our venture since we have started. And this team is uniquely able to address this moment in time that we are all facing.
And that means that why starting isn't even a question. It's inevitable. You have no choice when you have all of those elements that come together. When you go ahead, you just make it happen and you focus on creating a safer and better internet for the next generation. And that's what we're doing."
